The Silverdome is in the suburb of Pontiac, like 30 miles from Detroit. Very seriously doubt if the city of Detroit is on the hook.

The demolition contractor is on the hook to dust the structure.

In like 1988 I road tripped to see Van Halen, Metallica and the Scorpions play at the Silverdome. Don’t remember much as lots of alcohol might have been involved.

I believe they call them "column blades". They are the large support pillars in the image below. Originally, I thought they were going to be round, but they are more of a rounded triangle, hence the name, "blade".

They will stack them and, I imagine, skim coat them with some smooth membrane, for their final appearance.

On another note, if you didn't already know, there will be a 6K seat arena under the south east portion of the covered dome (i.e. the elongated tail portion of the dome).
