While he isn't the second coming of Donald, he looks to be a worthy successor. He really flashed last season. The Rams have a standout in Turner at 3T.

The question is really can Brown step up at NT. I hope Shula plays him at 1T because he plays better and it plays to his strength. If they want to continue with a Fangio mixed front then they need a true 0T NT along the lines of Vita Vea.

The retirement of Donald now highlights the need at the edge opposite Young. I feel confident that Snead can find another edge like he found Young.

Although no one is replacing the GOAT this still can be a very good defensive front. Finding that second edge is the missing piece. They have their rotational edges in Hampton and Hoecht. They have a rotational 1T in Murchison. They are thin at ILB so they need to find help there.

The loss of Donald is huge but they have the pieces on this defensive roster to be very good. Turner is going to be a huge reason for that.

4 hurries 5 QBKD 9.0 Sacks 20 pressures 57 Tackles

Those are outstanding stats for a DT/NT
Donald knew he was leaving the position in able hands.

All the media hacks crying to sign a Donald replacement without understanding the Rams already have one in Turner. :roll2:

And a rookie DT at that.

Pass rushers taken outside of the high first round seldom do much as rookies.
