He arrives with a strong background coaching receivers but that certainly doesn't mean he is effective with a unit in strong need of good coaching.

I am looking forward to this change more than others thats for sure.

In the meantime, I do trust McVay at this point. Very much so.

I felt the WR play was quite improved over the 1st half of the season, Quick was playing well, and so was Britt. Was hard to get a read on the young guys because they were injured.
Yes the play dropped off, but the entire team shit the bed.
I'm not mad he's gone, surprised that Peete returned despite the drop off in rb play in his year

I hear ya brother.

Maybe Sean saw what I saw. Horrible OL play and a scheme that didn't give him an opportunity to succeed.

Or what I also would love to hear would be that Gurley wanted him back, that he didn't want a new coach 3 years in a row.

That WOULD be nice to hear.

Everything considered, our running backs have always been adequate when you see how many we used under Fisher. Maybe their coaching was excellent considering what challenges they were facing.

I personally don't believe that Gurley's rookie year was a fluke. I think our OLine last year was absolutely the worst in the NFL and that says something.

Indy is rethinking Chuck Pagano, preparing huge offer for Kyle Shanahan. Period.
Since we aren't getting him, I would love to not have to face him twice a year.

Yes! This would just be too amusing and wonderful if Niners lose Kyle to Indy.

Who does that even leave them?
