Super disappointing for us fans but good for Aaron. He's got plenty of money, still has his health and got his Super Bowl victory. He can enjoy his family and the rest of his life. One of the all-time greats and we are all lucky he was a ram.

The top three teams that I root against are San Francisco, New England, and Seattle. As a very long time Ram fan, like PA, the reasons are obvious. I do think I will probably hate Seattle just a little less now that Pete's gone. I despise that guy. For most of my life I hated Dallas - but because Je...

For what it's worth, I heard on a podcast this morning of football/gambling pundits that the analytics say there is a very slight advantage to kicking off to start the overtime in that situation. I think they said it was about a 1% or 2% increase in win percentage. But they all agreed the decision c...

Its 100% strategically wrong with the SB OT rules, you get to know what you need to do witch enables you to utilize 4th down to sustain or score on a drive. Its massive IMO. Also like the Chiefs have said they would have went for two if the niners had scored a TD. Cant factor out Mahomes from runni...

It was 4th and 14. So he bet on his D, which had played extremely well in the 2nd half. My problem wasn't with the punt but after a 3 yard run on 1st down, he let the clock run. It was irrelevant because they got a first down on the next play. He had 2 possible stoppages. The time out and the 2 min...

I've got one more point about "wasted" timeouts. I came to terms years ago that because of the way McVay runs his offense - talking in Stafford's ear for as long as possible, and then having motion and possible audibles, etc. - a byproduct of that is sometimes the play clock will run down ...

But even if everyone agrees that particular timeout was a mistake. What do you think happens if the Rams punt to Detroit with 4 minutes and have 1 timeout instead of zero? I don't think it matters, pretty sure Rams still never see the ball again. Maybe Detroit punts with 10 seconds and Rams get to ...

Really? The ONLY question? Here's the situation. The score is 21-17 Detroit. It's the opening drive of the 3rd quarter. Stafford was just sacked for a loss of 1 yard. It's 3rd and 11 on our 38 and the play clock is running down. You're choices are; a) call time out and have 2 remaining for the half...

Stay on point. Am I wrong about the timeouts? No you are not. I always thought the same thing with Mike Martz. There are circumstances when it is better to just take a 5 yard penalty then to use a timeout particularly in the second half. McVay is a superior coach when it comes to getting a team rea...
